Albright Regrets Castro's Still Around
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has said that one of her
main regrets as
she leaves office is that Fidel Castro is still running Cuba.
On Tuesday, she went
further, all but saying that it's about time that death claimed
the Cuban leader.
At a farewell news conference at the State Department, Albright
cited a list of
foreign policy priorities she hopes the incoming Bush administration
will pursue,
adding at the end, to laughter: ``And I wish them the actuarial
tables in Cuba.''
According to World Health Organization estimates, newborn Cuban
males can
expect to live 68.4 years. Castro turned 74 on Aug. 13.
