Aid To Castro Denied
Larrazabal Says No Planes Flew Venezuelan Arms
Special to The New York Times
CARACAS, Venezuela, July 3- Rear Admiral Wolfgang Larrazabal, provisional
President, denies emphatically today that any planes bearing arms for Fidel
Castro, the Cuban insurgent leader, had been sent from Venezuela. The President
said the report was “completely false.”
During his weekly press conference, in answer to a question concerning
possible extradition of the former President and dictator, Gen. Marcos
Peréz Jiménez, Admiral Larrazabal said he was of the opinion
that it would be better if the former President did not return to Venezuela.
Admiral Larrazabal declares his government would not even consider
the question of recognizing the Soviet Union. He said that was a subject
for the next constitutional government not for his provisional one.
