White House Picketed

Trujillo’s Sending of Arms to Batista Protested

WASHINGTON, April 5 (AP)—Two dozen Cuban and Dominican political exiles from New York picketed the White House today.

They marched in protest against what they called the “illicit shipment of arms to Gen. Fulgencio Batista, dictator of Cuba, by Generalissimo Rafael Trujillo, dictator of the Dominican Republic, in five American-made C-47’s”

Extra city policemen were on hand to preserve order and to keep the paraders moving. The pickets carried banners attacking the two Latin-American leaders.
