HAVANA, April 17 (AP)- Fidel Castro shook up his six provincial commands today in an effort to prevent further bugling of strikes and sabotage attempts.
A rebel radio in the Sierra Maestra said Señor Castro had summoned his top lieutenants in all six provinces to his mountain headquarters. The broadcast said that any commander who failed to show would be shot wherever he was found.
All apparently had gone to the Sierra Maestra or were on the way. Faustino
Perez, 35-year-old boss of Havana rebel underground, reportedly was among
them. Twelve of Señor Perez’s officers have accused him of fumbling
in the rebel’s unsuccessful uprising and strike call April 9.
