HAVANA, Feb. 5—A policeman riding on a bus in a suburb of Havana last night was shot and killed by three unidentified assailants.
It was the second shooting of a policeman in two days. It was believed that the gunmen were members of a revolutionary group.
Sugar circles estimated today that between 115,000,000 and 175,000,000 pounds of sugar had been burned in five sugar-mill fires set by a small plane that has flown over Havana Province twice in the last few days. The plane was said to be an old-type two passenger craft, undoubtedly based somewhere in Cuba.
