HAVANA, Jan. 31—Military authorities of Oriente Province confiscated about 25,000 copies of the Havana weekly magazine Bohemia that went on sale in the province today. Armando Arrue, agent of Bohemia in Santiago de Cuba, capital of the province, was arrested and held for four hours.
On the streets of Santiago de Cuba soldiers snatched copies of Bohemia, which contained photographs and stories about Fidel Castro and his insurgents, from persons who had purchased the magazine, according to the report.
Copies of the Havana weekly magazine Zig Zag, which carried reprints of photographs of Señor Castro and his rebel army printed recently in the United States by Look Magazine, also were seized and destroyed.
