Castro blasts Obama over blacklisting
Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro lashed out Sunday at the White House over the island nation's continued placement on the list of countries abetting terrorism.
ITAR-TASS reported that in an editorial distributed Sunday, Castro said Obama should be "ashamed" for allowing Cuba to remain on the list.
"The man whose talent nobody denies, should be ashamed of the empire's attachment to lies," Castro said.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also took issue with Cuba's continued blacklisting.
The Communist-run island's territory "has never been used for financing or implementing" terrorist acts against the United States.
