BOGOTA -- A troubled campaign for peace between the government and
Marxist guerrillas hit a new snag Wednesday when the army accused peace
commissioner Victor Ricardo of giving the insurgents a list of military
personnel
accused of right-wing paramilitary activity.
Army commander Gen. Jorge Mora accused Ricardo of handing the data to the
Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
Ricardo, appointed by President Andres Pastrana to head the peace process
that
aims to end 40 years of bloodshed, has avoided giving a direct answer when
questioned on the subject.
