DECLARATION TO THE WORLD PRESS OF THE SUPREME COMMAND OF THE ARMY IN DEFENSE OF THE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY OF NICARAGUA

Taking into account the statements made by Moncada and the Yankee pirates who are trampling our country under foot, to the effect that they will take the offensive against our army of liberation, we have decided to assume a defensive posture and to attack only when that will be to our advantage.

We understand that the enemy is taking the offensive because he hopes to cause us serious problems during the remaining month and a half of summer. When the first rains start in the coming winter, we will take the offensive, and we will give new lessons to the assassins of freedom.

We are preparing a new type of incendiary bomb made of various ingredients, which, after they explode, allow them to keep on burning for fifteen minutes, and with them we will burn down the barracks in the towns where the blond beasts are corralled.
