Nicaraguan president to wed teacher
MANAGUA, Nicaragua - President Arnoldo Aleman plans to wed a high
school teacher, 22 years his junior, a source at his office confirmed
Wednesday. Aleman plans to marry Maria Fernanda Flores, a
30-year-old who teaches in Miami. One report, quoting her relatives, said
Aleman met her when she accompanied her father on a visit to his office
last year. It said the wedding was likely to be this year. On Monday, the
52-year-old president told Channel 2 television that he was ready to wed
and ''remake my life'' after 10 years as a widower. Aleman's first wife
died
while he was imprisoned by the leftist Sandinista government.
