PRESIDENT Fidel Castro has sent special birthday greetings and a warm embrace to René González, one of the five Cuban heroes unjustly incarcerated in various US prisons.

It is an honor for me that you were born on August 13, affirmed the leader of the revolution, who also celebrated his 78th birthday last Friday.

“We have great admiration for your steadfastness and are certain that justice will prevail; time is not the most important thing, but I hope that soon we will be able to celebrate our birthdays together,” he added.
