TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Nasser Khaleqi said here on Sunday that there are abundant grounds for expansion of cooperation between Tehran and Havana in the field of labor and social affairs.

In a meeting with Cuban Ambassador to Iran Jose Ramon Rodriguez, Khaleqi called for implementation of the mutual contracts and for cooperation in the fields of job safety and security, technical and vocational training, and employment.

Khaleqi hoped that both sides would adopt joint strategies for expansion of cooperation in the field of labor.

Rodriguez, for his part, called for full expansion of mutual cooperation, saying Cuban experts are to visit Iran to arrange ways for expansion of cooperation in sugar cane production.

He said that Khaleqi's visit to Cuba would help further promote mutual cooperation.
